www.Suryadwij.com is community web-portal that provides variety of services to users belonging to Suryadwij Brahmin samaj, irrespective of their location, and also limited services to users outside if this community.

Suryadwij.com gathers following types of information:
i. Information you submit as a member of Suryadwij Samaaj and a user of this portal; and
ii. Information not directly submitted by you, but generated as a result of your use of the portal;
iii. Information we may receive from others.

Information submitted by you

While registering for our service, you share with us your personal details, such as name, your gender, date of birth, contact details, educational qualification, employment details, photos, marital status and your interests etc…

When you avail for a paid service, you provide us or our payment service provider with information, such as your debit or credit card number or UPI. We also allow you to submit reviews, testimonials and comments.

Information not directly submitted by you

We collect information about your activity on our services, such as date and time you logged in, features you’ve been using, searches, clicks and pages visited by you, your interaction with other users including messages exchanged.

We collect information from and about the device(s) such as IP address, device ID and type, device-specification and apps settings, app error reports, browser type and version, operating system, identifiers associated with cookies or other technologies that may uniquely identify your device or browser. We need SMS permission for authenticating transactions via OTP, sent by the Payment Gateway.

Information we receive from others

In addition to the information that you provide us directly, we may receive and integrate information about you from other sources, such as: Social Media posts or blogs.

We use the information collected in the following ways:

  • Provide the services offered by Suryadwij.com.
  • Manage and maintain your account on the portal, and assist you with any support.

Sharing and protection of information

We will only share your information through your consent in one of the following manners:

  1. With other members of the Suryadwij community in accordance with the mission of the Global Group, with the aim of bringing the members together.
  2. To a limited extent with other users in order to provide some of the services – such as eCommerce, Educational consultancy, Matrimony and others.
  3. With law enforcement agencies, to the extent required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, other members interest and protection and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site. Suryadwij.com provides the users with options to determine what personal details can be shared and with whom. Only those details that have been explicitly marked by you as a user to be made visible to others will be shared to other users. We will not share any of the details provided by you without your consent.

    While Suryadwij.com portal is designed to protect your information, we cannot guarantee that data, during transmission through the Internet or while stored on our systems or otherwise in our care, is impenetrable and safe from intrusion by others. This is primarily due to inherrent limitations of underlying technology.

    When any paid service requires you to enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number), such information is encrypted and is protected with the latest and best available encryption software. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us. Any member who has administrative privileges, and any/all employees of a 3 rd party contractor who might be retained to develop or maintain the portal will be provided adequate guidance in regard to safeguarding information.

Data Retention

Due to the inherent nature of the portal, some of the data shall be retained in the database to provide continuity of the services and avoid the users having to enter the details repeatedly during each use.

Any other data, such as credit card details, and/or bank account details shall be retained only as long as they are needed either for the transaction, or required by law, and shall be discarded safely once this data is no longer needed.
